N28's and N29's
 

Posted By: <b>Noel</b><p>I have seen quite a few 1887 N28's around but very few 1888 N29's. Is this due to rarity or is it just the fact that there is only one HOFer in the N29 set?

Posted By: <b>John J. Grillo</b><p>From a vintage boxing perspective, N28s feature the likes of John L. Sullivan, Jack Dempsey; whereas the N29 really have no big names. Maybe that's why I see fewer N29s for sale.

Posted By: <b>warshawlaw</b><p>Is definitely much harder to find than N28 but it is a bit like comparing the relative toughness of a muppet and an Ewok. Neither set is particularly rare except in top grades, but like T206 ( - big four) they are desirable because the average collector can work them.

This card is mistakenly bought by many people thinking it is this and is a big reason why the card carries the price tag it does. People into the history of boxing know who this Dempsey is and how great he was, but ask most boxing fans and they will have no clue there was another great fighter named Jack Dempsey.<br /><br />Jay<br /><br />I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people.
