Sun Times Show
Posted By: Steve M
Just got back from the Saturday session. Not much Vintage. Hardly an e card in sight. A few N172 T206. SGC not grading on site though taking submissions. Mr. Mint right up front, appeared to be enjoying himself. I'll give it 1/2 I picked up a Propaganda Hubbell (Sorry I know I'm not supposed to mention them)

Sun Times Show
Posted By: Rick McQuillan
I live in a small town, with no card shows. The nearest shows are 80 miles away, and I rarely find any pre-war cards, so yesterday I drove 200 miles to the Sun Times show and I thought that it was great. From my limited perspective, it seemed that there was something for everyone, from beat up 33 Goudeys for $6 to T206 Cobbs. One dealer had 4 graded T206 Cobb Red Backgrounds, and a few tables down another dealer had 4 ungraded T206 Cobb Red Backgrounds.

I had a great time, enjoyed looking at the cards and talking to the dealers, and I spent too much money. I was lucky to pick up 7 33 Goudeys, 3 T206's, 1 Diamond Star, 1 Neilson's Chocolate Type 2, 1 Willards, and 2 W573's. If I didn't have family obligations I would make the 400 mile round trip again today.

I hope you all enjoyed the show. Please post some of the items that you picked up.

Thanks,
Rick

Posted By: Shawn Adkins
I too live in a small rural community with nothing in the way of card shows as well. My weekend has been relatively good to this point. Friday night had the best selection of cards, but I still felt that the show was overwhelmingly crowded with the new shiney stuff.

Picked up a few things - e102 Bescher, e93 Brown, T206 Lajoie, seven M116s, T3s (Leach, Chase, Lobert and Bescher) and an amazingly nice T205 O'Leary.

One more quick round this morning before the trip home.

--Shawn
