1894 Alpha Photo Engraving
Posted By: Preece1
I wasn't sure whether to post this in the March pick-up thread or the Fort Washington thread so I started a new one. I met Dan McKee on Saturday at the Fort Washington show to pick up the Alphas. Up until Saturday, I had seen the graded Alphas only in scan form and not in person. They are some of the most beautiful cards I have ever seen. Dan McKee is a super guy and made this transaction very easy.

Here are the hall of famers

Posted By: Preece1
Not only is it Brodie's only card, but for most of the commons in the set, it appears that these are their only cards

Posted By: Hal Lewis
SGC mislabelled the Gibson card.

It is actually from 1851.

It makes just as much sense for them to have printed the card before he was born as it does for them to have printed it after he died.
