Posted By: jay behrens
Thanks Jamie. I don't have multi-player cards in my database becuase I want cards that feature just that player. Guess this means this will be one of the last cards I buy as I refuse to pay an insane price for a marginal player from a set that isn't that rare.

Jay

I've just reached Upper Lower Class. Posted By: Joe P.
It was a beautful very early Sunday afternoon either in 1944 or 1945, me and a couple of other guys had just left church and we decided to take a walk to Central Park just a couple of blocks away.
Here we were sitting on a park bench just inside the 99th St, East side entrance to Central Park, talking baseball.
Although the first game that I saw was at the Polo Grounds, I was the only Yank fan in the lot.
Yup, they were all Giant fans.
As we sat there peaceably and amicably debating baseball in a blue face christian heated way ..... we were at the same time observing the happenings going on the great meadow in front of us.
For those of you that may be familiar with that area of Central Park in NYC:
The eastside entrance area at 99th St has a huge oval like meadow, encircled by a walkway and park benches, immediately to your right as you enter, there's a small playground for kids.
The meadow was large enough for people to fly kites, run around, play baseball or football games on it, and we did.

While we were in the midst of settling all the world crisis, and who were the best of both eight team leagues, one of the debaters chimed in with -- "Wait a minute - Who's that guy hitting fungo's to that kid?"

The Giant Fans:

#1. It can't be.

#2. Are you sure?

#3. They're not playing today

Yankees Fan:

Who's Phil Weintraub? ..... only kidding ... I knew.

Even this Yank fan knew who Phil Weintraub was.
We just sat there and gave them the privacy of a man hitting fungos to his son.
