New poll for the new year

Posted By: Brian McQueen

Just added it to the main page. Thought we'd try one that gets away from specific individual cards and focuses on a general topic that would apply to everyone.

New poll for the new year

Posted By: Misunderestimated
Its an interesting topic... I think I clearly fall under at least 2 categories (I'm sure I'm not alone) Sets and HOFers...

.... At this stage I think the investment aspect figures into it to some degree or another for most (if not all) vintage collectors, whether or not we want to admit it or not.

Still, is investing for resale (at least the primary goal) even the same thing as collecting ?

I also think that the hording category sort of eludes the question -- "what are you hording?" sets? HOFers ? Rare Type cards ? Brooklyn Dodgers ? Catchers ? Cards you think are a good investment or can be graded and flipped profitably ?

I also think the word "hording" has a much less positive connotation than "collecting"

Posted By: jay behrens
I clicked on Type card collector since that is closer to what my player set is rather than a true set.

The idea of an option for other would be good, as would the several catagories options

Jay

I've just reached Upper Lower Class.
