Holiday Ebay sales - opinions please

Posted By: Bryan Long
I think we may have discussed this before but I couldn't find anything in the search. I am parting with a number of cards and since I have no idea of a asking price I thought of putting them on ebay. My question is have any of the ebay sellers on the board noticed that prices drop dramatically over the holidays, especially Christmas? I don't want to put anything on ebay if the prices will reflect people not buying for lack of cash to spend on BB cards. Any opinions?
Thanks.

Posted By: Kyle
Unless the item is really unique, I'd advise against it.

Case in point: my PSA 4 1952 Babe Ruth Look and See with wonderful centering and color sold for $71 on sunday. A PSA 3 with crap centering and a bent corner sold for $103. Why? I have no idea.

Posted By: David Vargha
The cards I've been following haven't produced any bargains; that's for sure. Most of the sought-after pre war stuff still looks strong. However, more commonly found cards tend to suffer between now and mid-January

DavidVargha@hotmail.com
