1918 Company? Team photo help
Posted By: Keith
Hello,

I recently came across this photo at an estate auction. The photo is in pretty bad shape with a large crease running vertically that breaks through the photo and backing in some areas.

I wanted to get some opinions as to what type of team could be. None of them are wearing obvious uniforms. I can only make out a couple of them wearing gloves. My thought was that this could be a company team. Did large companies field teams in the early 1900s? The equivalent of a modern day company softball team?

On the photo there is blue ink arrow pointing to one person.

On the back is written (at least I think it says the following):
Arrow shows
Frank Engle Pattirson Lind Reeves
approx 1918
Westinghouse

Is Westinghouse a city anywhere?
Or could this be a Westinghouse Electric company team?

Posted By: ramram
I'd suspect it is a company team. Most all of the big companies had teams back then.
