A question about T3 Turkey Red cabinet cards
Posted By: Bob S
I've got about a dozen of these casrds. Are they popular these days? None have the common pin holes, and 2 are hofers. But since I have them stored away from home, and I am battling Lyme disease, I won't be able to list them for a while, until I'm strong enough to drive.

Just some general comments about T3's and the current interest in them would be great, until I can post a list. (And hopefully a scan or 2.)

Thanks.

Bob

A question about T3 Turkey Red cabinet cards
Posted By: Marc S.
Bob-

T3s that have been professionally graded by PSA seem to be doing phenomenally over the past few months. In many cases - most T3s seem to be selling for 2-5x what they may have sold for six to eighteen months ago. PSA is the only grading option for these cards - and it seems to have brought about a renewed interest in the set. As for alterations - there seems to be a fair number of trimmed, color/corner restored and/or restored pinholes that can seriously decrease value, much like a trimmed OJ. All that being said - the cards are selling for hundreds of dollars in unaltered VG and better condition. I think many collectors are revisiting the beauty of these huge cards, and the rarity in putting together such a set [with variations only making it more difficult!]

Posted By: Mark
Actually, there is another grading option. GAI will grade them for $20 each. PSA charges $35. In my opinion they look nicer in the GAI holders, but of course, they bring more in PSA.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
The GAI holder for larger sized cards is cheap, looks cheap and is ugly. Not that the PSA look much better but it is a solid holder.

Just check ebay for results on T3's

Lee
A question about T3 Turkey Red cabinet cards
Posted By: Mark
to take a closer look. Most of my T3 cards are not graded, and the few that are are graded PSA. They had already been graded when I bought them. I've only seen the GAI holders in display cases at shows, and cannot speak to their durability. It doesn't really matter to me, though, because I prefer my cards raw.
