KSA Grading
Posted By: Brian E.
I don't know anything about KSA grading. There are too many grading companies that come and go. I think that almost anyone who has been in the hobby for a given amount of time can evaluate the condition of a card. What gets tricky is detecting alterations and fakes. A perfect example is the Croft's Cobb that recently passed through two experienced board members' hands only to be kicked back by SGC for "color filling". I know of a Lenox Cobb that was also recently kicked back by SGC that got by me and at least one other board member with a "possible" alteration.

SGC, PSA and GAI are the most respected in the business. Each have made mistakes and even SGC who I hold to highest standard, has made more than one high dollar mistake. If I have even the smallest reservations with respect to the "big three", I have much larger reservations about any other grading company.

BTW, I don't consider BVG in the big three but I hold them with the same respect.

Brian E.
