VCBC Refunds
Posted By: mike walleson
VCBC is not going out of business. However, publication has been suspended while we redesign the format in order to appeal to a larger audience base. We fully intend to "re-launch" VCBC when "it is ready and feasible to do so".

Any subscriber can request a refund at any time by:

1: emailing me- mwalleson@vcbc.com
or
2: by mail- VCBC
PO Box 1345
Hunt Valley, Md 21030

Thanks
Mike Walleson

Posted By: George H. Counter
Mike, as a vcbc subscriber I would have loved to receive this information on a timely manner, not after some guys voiced their concerns on a public forum.
A big/bold note on your website's main page could have helped.

Posted By: Frank Ceresi
Simple question, Mike: When are we...the subscribers of VCBC...going to see another issue? I am not really interested in a refund. I would like to recieve the magazine. Absent that, I will obviously want a refund but can we get an answer to the question so we can decide whether to ask for the refund or not?

Frank Ceresi

Posted By: Dave H
I recently signed up for this, not knowing it was not currently being printed. I signed up on 4/30/05 and requested a refund last night after reading this thread.

Mike Walleson refunded my payment today after my request for a refund last night. To his credit, I thank him for being a man of his word.

I will be resubscribing upon hearing that the issues are back.

Posted By: Andrew
Just last week, I requested back issue #10 from the website. Someone immediately sent a follow-up email indicating that it was in the mail, it showed up a few days ago free of charge. Nice!

Dennis Purdy returned a voicemail quite promptly, but wanted $10 for the same back issue. So I passed.

“A smooth sea never made a skilled mariner.” - English Proverb

Posted By: identify7
I applaud those of you who have been successful in getting your money back from vcbc. I have only gotten a promise of money, but no reimbursement. I do not think that they have any intention of giving me back my money nor producing a vintage magazine. In my estimation, this is fradulent behavior. VCBC Refunds
Posted By: David H
Strange, I received my refund 2 weeks after I first submitted payment, and several days after I requested it. Not only that, but I also did ask for a single copy of Issue #13 and offered to pay but received it a week later complimentary. I understand your frustration, but I have had good response. Perhaps it was because they had recent record of my payement. It seems those that have paid a year ago as you have and are just now asking for a refund aren't having as much luck.

Not that you don't deserve a refund but I ask you, why do you wait 1 year before deciding that something is amiss? Personally, if I waited that long and I would be only kicking myself for not acting sooner.

Posted By: warshawlaw
I haven't asked for a refund to date either, but that doesn't mean I'm not entitled to one if I decide to ask for it. Many of the posters on this board had real hopes for the success of the publication and wanted to believe it would resume printing. That isn't any reason not to refund their money.

Posted By: Gilbert Maines
Last night, upon arriving home, I found mail from VCBC containing a refund check for my full subscription fee. I sincerely hope that this is my last post on this subject.

They are clearly not currently viewed as deadbeats in my eyes, however, it has not been a pleasant experience for me. I wish them and each of you luck regarding this publication.

Posted By: Bottom of the Ninth
I guess they are done making good on refunds. I emailed Mike on Oct 9th asking for a refund and he has not replied to the email. Don't care about the money but it is really tacky. I would not subscribe again at this point.

I am very pleased with Old Cardboard, anyway.
