Posted By: Alan
I was there Friday night. Fantastic show !!! It was truly a pleasure meeting & speaking to Ted Z. !!! Each show seems to be better than the last one. A lot of dealers were there that had not been there in a while !!! Also, a pleasure to have met Dan McKee. Some of the auction houses were there including Mastro, Scott/Huggins, etc,... Again, it was a fantastic show !!! I have heard (even though there are less dealers) that it has as good, if not better, vintage material than there is at the national !!!

Alan
Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
Tim

Thanks for sharing your experiences at the Philly Show with
us. You exactly caught the "spirit" of this posting. I think
most of us enjoy exchanging stories of our purchases (or our
sales). And, thanks Tim for your nice comments.

Alan

We had some interesting stories between us: it was fun.

James

Sorry guy, I only set-up at the 4 - Philly Shows and at the
HOF weekend in Cooperstown. You'll have to travel to Philly;
the next one is Dec 2 - 4th. I usually fill my Tobacco card
box with about 100 T-type cards. Most are T206's; but, also
some T205's and T207's.

I forgot to note on the above list two very important
cards....1933 Goudey and a 1940 PlayBall Moe Berg cards.
At every Philly Show there are at least 5 or 6 requests
for this fascinating man's BB cards. I always try to go
to the show with at least a couple of his cards in stock.
Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
LYLE

It was great meeting you and talking Yankees talk.

And, I am glad you really enjoyed my VCBC article on the
1888 (or perhaps 1889) GOODWIN CHAMPIONS (N162 set).

I have received numerous positive comments on it. I do
not claim to be an expert on these cards; however, after
putting together 3.5 sets over the years, I think I can
say I know a lot about them. As my article shows, I did
do quite a bit of research into the players portayed in
this set. Additionally, having the Album (A36) that the
Goodwin Co. beautifully produced to depict all 50 cards
gives me a greater appreciation for this set.
