Posted By: <b>jay behrens</b><p>This also the raises the question, is 1923 the correct date for this issue? I jsut went through my list of players that only appear on Willards. Only 2 players had their career continue past 1922 and 3 never played past 1921. One player never played in 1921. <br /><br />I would say it is pretty safe to say that this set WAS NOT issued in 1923 as it would have included 4 players that never played after 1921. Personally, I would lean towards 1921 as the date of issue although a strong case for 1922 could be made too.<br /><br />I am going to spin this off into it's own thread so Mr Lemke will look in.<br /><br />Jay<br /><br><br>My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.

Posted By: <b>Todd Schultz</b><p>or at least not John J. Sullivan, who is listed as a left-handed pitcher. Unless the photo is inverted, the guy on the card is right handed. Also, that is not a White Sox uniform he's donning, although it doesn't quite match up with the teams the other Sully played for either.
