Way OT but probably of interest to Board
Posted By: Jim F
Sorry Leon but I thought this would be of interest to board members that do a lot of business with each other or just keep in touch. Delete if I'm out of order. To keep it short, I follow the business news pretty closely and heard about ebay's interest in an internet phone company called skype. Anyway, turns out that if you and your friends download the software and have a headset or USB phone you can talk long distance for free. Could be good for smaller dealers to set up customer service numbers. Jim

Way OT but probably of interest to Board
Posted By: Marc S.
I've used Skype for a while now. I have a lot of family in Europe and South America - and, with Skype, it is free to talk to them. Can't beat that...

Posted By: leonl
It's our/your collecting family here. If you can help us then that is good, imo. I would only say let's do please use a little caution in how many O/T threads we start. Thanks for the tip....and remember per the board FAQ's board participants get some leeway on O/T....regards

Way OT but probably of interest to Board
Posted By: jay behrens
I've always bee kind of baffle about the internet phone service thing since I've always used Yahoo IM and their voice capabilities. All you need is a mic. I used it a lot when my son lived in Germany. I guess with the phone service, you can call someone that isn't at their computer.

Jay

My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.
