E126 Cobb...real deal?
Posted By: Anson
This went up on Ebay today. The seller believes it's from 1910 but it clearly looks like an AC E126 Cobb. I believe he's selling a few others but it looks awfully shiny. Real or not?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Ty-Cobb-American-Caramel-Company-Card_W0QQitemZ5235708654QQcategoryZ86841QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem

Posted By: Paul
They look real to me, but that zero feedback after a full year on ebay would certainly make me pause.

E126 Cobb...real deal?
Posted By: DJ
What's a fair price for this card? Who knows what the reserve is and for a person who doesn't know how to identify this card, how did they come up with an $800+ price?

Last month we saw a seller who photographed cards on their knees sitting in a chair and now a photograph taken on a paper plate.

DJ

E126 Cobb...real deal?
Posted By: warshawlaw
the E126 cards, I mean, not the plate, so I don't really think there is any way to price them other than to see what they bring.

Can anyone tell me when the photo of Ty Cobb, on the E126 American Caramel, was taken?
