Anyone know who this is?

Posted By: Anson
Quite an elaborate collection of vintage stuff for sale. I'm not sure what form of currency that is, or if it's legit. Can anyone shed any light on this?

http://www.sportscardforum.com/archive/index.php/t-139375_HUGE_list_of_Cards_and_Misc_I'm_willing_to_ sell.html

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
Judging from the prices that are provided I would guess this to be a sham. If anyone in the UK truly had these cards they would know the true value of what they had. If they knew to have the cards graded then they'd know the market for these cards.

They could consign the cards to MastroNet (REA or another major auction house). The difference they could make from a major auction house (even after paying the sellers premium - which they could negotiate down) between the prices on the web site and what they netted from the auction house could pay for a round trip ticket to the US, a weeks vacation and more.

Run, don't walk away from this and don't think twice about what possibly could have been because it's a total sham.

Posted By: Scott Elkins
Appears to be that stupid "Toni" and his scam again. I remember most of those cards from BOTN's selling list he stole. Also, the Old Put Cobb now resides with Wesley and I own the GAI 3.5 Croft's Cocoa Crawford!

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
I only assumed it was the UK because the add is in English. But then I couldn't see it being in any other language because I don't know of many French, German or Itallians that are interested in baseball cards.
