Most outrageous overgradings
Posted By: Tim Newcomb
With all the very interesting and very serious discussion today about grading companies, I thought something lighter might be in order:

What's the most egregious example of PSA-SGC-GAI-ETC OVERGRADING you've seen?

Mine just came in the mail (tbob referred to this group in the "Grading Co. experiment" thread). I was not upset because I had an accurate description from the seller and the price was OK, but it still took my breath away for a moment to see this card in that very official PSA 3 label. I've seen many a PSA 1 that looked nicer.

I'm not the strictest grader in the world, but if this is a VG card, I'm Miller Huggins.
Posted By: jaydog
Not only is this card overgraded, the write up is also wrong. The M116 is not a Blueback but a common pastel.
