T206 Miscut

Posted By: Damian

I recently acquired this card on ebay. As I hope you can see from the scan the card is miscut with the bottom portion of "Bergen, Brooklyn" appearing at the top of the card. I know that severe miscuts can can carry a heavy premium in value. My question is this one severe enough to be more desirable or is it just miscut?

Thanks.
Damian

[/url" target="_new" rel="nofollow">http://img218.echo.cx/img218/1895/t206miscut3vq.th.jpg">]

Same with the back.

Posted By: Josh K.
this type of miscut is fairly common - but I believe (after talking to some collectors that seek such cards) that there are some buyers who will pay a bit more for them.

Really severe printing and cutting flaw cards are reaching into four figures as people recognize how unusual they are and respond accordingly. Who's to say that a T206 with a severe miscut or a ghost print isn't as desirable as a high grade common. Personally, I'd rather own that extremely miscut Camnitz that sold recently than any PSA 8 T206 common.

http://imageevent.com/exhibitman/freaksandgeeks;jsessionid=125nczrac3.tiger_s

At least I think so, I only have pics here, not the card.

This is Southern Leager Viola(t), I posted the front in another thread a few days ago.
