T206 460 Broadleaf on eBay

Were Broadleaf 460's originally cut narrow (by hand, like American Beauty), or did the card (just barely) meet the minimum width of GAI?
Thanks in advance,
Pete
T206 460 Broadleaf on eBay
Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
The T206 cards with Broadleaf backs that I have are full size
T-type cards. Like you noted, the American Beauty backs are
the only narrow-cut T206s. By comparing mine with this one,
close observation shows that the Broadleaf right border design
line is too close to the the right edge of this card, while
otherwise, the "Broadleaf" design appears to be well-centered
on the back of this card.

My opinion: this card should've been rejected due to "evidence
of trimmed". Most of these grading people are pretty liberal
with this term, so I'm really surprised that GAI even graded
this card.
