Cuban Auction going on
Posted By: leon
Since I am all for supporting the little guys too (not meant in a bad way) and I put in a few hours on the board I guess I will take the liberty to help a friend and fellow board member out. I don't think it's any different than us talking about one of the big auctions. To his credit Ryan (hey Ryan) asked which category to put this in in the B/S/T thread. Here's one for ya'.....looks like a good auction too...regards

http://www.cubanbaseballauctions.com/auction.asp

Posted By: Wesley
PASJD, There is a 1950-51 Toleteros Josh Gibson for sale in Leland's June auction. They're calling it his rookie card.

Posted By: PASJD
We have been through this one before. Checked Leland's website for June, previews don't seem to include the Gibson "tribute" card. Interesting set of first year Playboy magazines. Hal, is that Marilyn Monroe's rookie?

Posted By: Rick
Remedios its nowadays a semi rural town around the central part of the island, It could be that a century before this town was a booming city due to its proximity to all the sugar cane fields.

I dont think it was ever part of the cuban league, most likely just a local team.
