Posted By: Ben
Tim, with all due respect, could you please ease off on starting all these threads with just an ebay link and a one liner? There were already threads on the Joss and Ruth cards, and 3 or 4 of these in one night tends to clutter up the board. Thanks.

Posted By: Scott Forrest
I promised Leon I wouldn't instigate anything, but the guy making these cards is a board member who has a passion for art and for vintage cards - if you don't like his work, then don't bid...but don't make fun of him.

Posted By: Bill Kasel
What's the issue if this guy (who did post on his artwork before) does some doodles and tries to sell them on Ebay? It's not like someone is going to get them slabbed (well maybe ASA or PSA would do it as "Authentic").

Bill

Posted By: davidcycleback
I do not interpret the initial post as being a negative comment on the artistic merit.

An interesting way for a budding talented young sports artist to market his or her original sports artwork and establish a good name in the hobby would be to gather genuine autographed cuts, index cards or even certified trading cards and matte the artwork and signatures together.

The artist can tell her relatives that one of her artworks of art sold for $20,000 ... not mentioning that it was matted above a Christy Mathewson signed check.
