1910 Aydelott's Baseball Card Game
Posted By: Jimi
I am seeking info on the above description. A friend acquired the cards today along with the wooden men, playing diamond, instructions, the cards and the original box. He places a ? at the end as he cannot confirm the date although that date appears on the instructions. "Stand Catalog........" does not list it and we only found 1 listing on Ebay for a current listing with no completed sales. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Jimi

1910 Aydelott's Baseball Card Game
Posted By: leon
It's a neat game and fairly common. It was patented in 1910 and my guess is that is when it came out. I have a full set too (sorry, not bragging just helping)....and it says on the inside back cover that it was .50cents to all News Dealers. I believe I got my set, in about vg overall, for around $100-$125...nice early game set from Detroit MI.....regards

1910 Aydelott's Baseball Card Game
Posted By: joe maples
Hi, this is from Mark Cooper's book on baseball games.

The Field to the Parlor. The Aydelott's BaseBall cards, 1910. In a history of baseball card games of 1885 Aydelott's game is mentioned. This one is patented in 1910, and one can only wonder why it took so long to patent. Aydelott was a 19th century professional player. The game has 125 cards with various playing situations, a paper field and wooden pawns as base runners. Aydelott's Base Ball Card Company, Detroit. 4.5" X 3". A recent find makes this game relatively common. Jake Aydelott Games 14, wins 5, losses 9, PCT 357, E.R.A. 4.97. Mark prices this at $50 - $300 depending on condition. Book was published in 1995.

Joe
