Posted By: Richard Simon
The UPPER DECK COA says Official American League baseball.
The ball pictured (and the autograph on it is HIGHLY questionable) is an Official National League baseball, and the seller describes it as an Official National League ball.
This whole thing stinks.

----

I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

Just goes to show you how crafty people are.

Mantle spending all those great years in National League and all....

Does vintage mean pre-war? Huh

Cap

Well, I quit my job so I could work alone, Then I changed my name to Sherlock Holmes- Bob Dylan.

Posted By: jay behrens
Enough of the Mantle crap. He played after WW2. There are other threads with his junk already, just add it to that if you must drag Mantle onto this forum.

Shelly, you post some good stuff, but PLEASE, no more post-WW2 players and their autographs

Jay- yes, I have a major dislike for the drunken b*stard.

I've just reached Upper Lower Class. I am now officially a babe magnet for poor chicks.

Posted By: William Heitman
This must be that ultr rare ball signed in 1959 when the Yankees loaned some guy with a long beard to the Phillies for the last two months of the season. He hit like 50 home runs for the Phillies. Everyone wondered what happened to Mantle as he disappeared from New York those couple of months. How else could the White Sox have won the pennant?
