Posted By: <b>Gilbert Maines</b><p>"Too narrow" is the enforcement of the value system employed by grading companies on the judgement, personal preferences and implementation of a youthful collector in the 1920s.<br /><br />I find all hand cut strip cards as a part of Americana, and do not accept the opinion of a grading company to be applicable to the choices made by the card's original owner.<br /><br />I agree that this Ruth looks best with no border. But this Ruth is crudely drawn, knockkneed, pigeon toed and often portrayed throwing right handed. Difficult to be made attractive.
