Check these slabs out!

Posted By: Trae R.
Did anyone check them out, if so what do you think? I guess I will be the guinea-pig and buy a few. They're cheap enough to try to make them work I assume. I emailed the seller and he said they measure 3" x 4.75" - which is very close to if not exactly the size of PSA/SGC slabs. I'll let ya know how they work out. I am going to try and coin a custom size insert for T206's.

Cool

Posted By: Trae R.
Welll I just figured out they're not as tall as standard grading company slabs. I still think it's worth trying out though; I purchased 9 of them. As posted above, I will post to let ya know how it turns out. (Despite the apparent lack of interest on the subject)

Posted By: Josh K.
Trae,

They look nice. Once you get them, I would be curious to know whether they are any better than simply using a one-screw, screw down holder (which, I assume, you could also make an insert for).

Posted By: Mark
What's to stop people from buying these slabs, printing off a color label that says PSA (or KSA since that's seen less often) and slabbing and selling reprints to newbies?

Posted By: Trae R.
meh - these are nothing fancy. Don't waste your money.

I got them in today - they don't size up to real slabs in any respect. They're not garbage, don't get me wrong. They're just "not for me". However, if you do collect standard size cards, and want a nice tamper-evident storage solution I would recommend them.

Posted By: Gilbert Maines
Trae: If you want some used PSA holders I have a small bunch which I no longer need (I crack out cards which come slabbed). I think that there are others here who do as well. Most holders do not suffer much damage when the cards are removed, but you would have to reglue them for use. Let me know. I don't know why I still have them, probably Im a bit of a packrat.
