K Whitmore = Kimpossible1430 ?

Posted By: David Smith
Hello,

By the looks of the "vintage" cards that Kimpossible1430 is offering on eBay and the vague description about them being sold as "educational cards" it looks like the scamming scumbag is back with a different alias. Also the feedback about selling reprints.

We need to find a large eBay shareholder outside of the company to complain to and maybe something will get done about these clowns. Until then, I guess scammers will continue getting away with stealing people's money right out in public view!!

Too bad hanging by the testicles in the public square isn't allowed.

Thanks for allowing me to vent,

David Smith

Posted By: Lee Behrens
Yes, THis person is a scumbag, but it is stated in his auctions the he is not selling them as real. The buyers are more than likely trying to hit the jackpot with a pipe dream they are real. The old risk reward, lots of risk little reward. This people need to be better shoppers. How different is the buyer from the seller in these situations?

Lee
Posted By: Judge Dred
The seller should just say that these are REPRINTS in the item description. Anything other than that may imply that it is possible (even remotely) that these cards may be real. Indicating that they are REPRINTS would remove all doubt. I guess that saying "a fool and his money shall soon part" probably applies to anyone that would even consider that the cards this person sells are real. Something to consider is that everyday there are people that are new to ebay and they might not understand the antics that people will go through to make a buck. They may not understand the dynamics of a lot of unethical ebay sellers.

Posted By: Judge Dred
The following is an excerpt of what this seller is placing in many (possibly all) of his item descriptions:

under a microscope it would be rough, corner roundness and wrinkles.but to enjoy as part of early history they are wonderful card's .these cards are nothing to be ashamed of ..I'm giving u great scans of the front and backs...so if you can use them...go for it...if you don't recieve the card or card's in the scan u will cherfully be refunded everything but shipping.....I don't need negative feedback so please understand the auction and ask any QUESTIONS before u bid....thanks and enjoy as so many has

I think he even uses BIN on some items... getting sophisticated I guess. I've emailed him a few times and asked him why he didn't just include the word REPRINT in his item descriptions and there hasn't been a response. He did indicate that if someone asked him (via email) if the cards were real he would indicate that they are reprints or reproductions.

Another waste of time....

Posted By: barry arnold
Some time back,I even received a personal e-mail from this one asking me if i'd like to buy
cards such as Cobb. This happened after i had asked a question regarding something Kim? was selling on e-bay. I asked the person to place the cards for sale on e-bay,as appropriate.
The reply was that she (Kim)could only buy cards via e-bay.

sad

barry arnold

Posted By: tbob
I emailed her (him?) (it?) and asked what the heck "educational purposes" meant and were the cards being held out as authentic. She said very carefully that she never said the cards were legit, only that they would provide an education.
Yeah, the unwary buyers are fixing to get a real frigging education when they learn they are fakes.

Posted By: Judge Dred
The seller is now putting the following into the item descriptions (in red letters, no doubt -

..."please treat these as reprint card's"....

I guess the first step to recovery is admitting there is a problem....

Posted By: Shane
When this girl first started on ebay i bought an Alan & Ginter card she wrote was authentic. "highest bidder gets the jewel..blah blah blah". only paid 23.00 but when i got it, it looked like it was printed out with a 1993 Dot Matrix printer. Her real name is Karen or something like that and she refused to give me my money back for quite some time til i reported her to ebay.

Posted By: Judge Dred
I think this person is male because an email addressed to me from that person began with "bro."

The basic content was that they weren't out to rip anyone off, etc.

I think it would be funny if people sold this person a bunch of beat up reprint T206 cards just for good measure.
