Help with this postcard

Posted By: Richard Dwyer
I found a 1901 postcard of Ernest Sloan (Pictcher). Says "Osborn" on the lower right hand corner. Can anyone tell me the value of this postcard, and anything about it? I still have the lower left hand corner that was torn off. Other than that, it's Excellant condition.

Posted By: jay behrens
It looks like a real photo postcard. Prices can be all over the place on these when it comes to baseball related PCs. I try to pick up ones from Alexandria, MN where I live and I postcards like yours that are in tact can go anywhere from $10-$100 plus. The was a very promiment photographer from Alex that his work on a lot of postcards. One of his pictures showing a baseball game in Yankton, SD around 1905 went for over $500 :-O It jsut depends on who else is interested in the item.

Jay

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --- WOW, What a ride!
