Posted By: Ben
Recently picked this one up and thought it was sort of interesting. I remember runscott used to have one exactly like it -e95 pose, no caption, but name and team in vintage scrawl in the upper corners. The other one was blank backed though. Everyone's best guess was that it was cut from a candy box, and I suppose this card confirms it.

Paste drops and jelly confections doesn't sound too tasty to me...maybe that why we dont see many of these

Posted By: Ben
In that case, I like jelly confections (except for the black ones). With the style of the player/team names on the top, is does sorta look 19th century-ish. If Cobb played 20 years earlier, this is what his n162 would have looked like

Posted By: warshawlaw
I have an image of a Jim Jeffries matching the E79 set (Philadelphia Caramel too) except for the front printing with another portion of the ad on the back. I have also seen blank backed Cobbs. This all suggests an advertising medium, like a 19th century trade card, that advertisers could customize on the back.

Posted By: Scott
I just checked and the one I had has the exact image of yours. I have since seen one additional one that has slightly different writing, but it was a copy and I couldn't get additional info out of the seller.
