E104-3

Posted By: Robert A
I'm not sure how much this set has been discussed on this board in the past (I presume several times). I searched the past posts and couldn't find that much info. At any rate, it seems that there are quite a few fascinating possibilities with this set! Since the set was issued somewhere around 1910 or 1911 and features several players from Detroit and New York, does that make Cobb , Mathewson, and Marquard possible future discoveries? 33 cards sounds like such a wierd number for a set.

Would someone be willing to post a scan of a card from this set?
Robert A

Posted By: Marc S.
How rare are the E104-3s, and what sort of price expectation might one expect to pay for common cards from this set in better than VG-EX grade...?

Posted By: Robert A
It's been so difficult for me to find these cards, that I don't worry about the grade when I do. Prices depend on whether or not the card is a hall of fame player or not.

Some collectors say it's hard to say whether the e104-3s are more rare than the other two types, but they have been in my experience.

I know that a couple of board members have made some recent discoveries with this set which is exciting.
You can check out Pete Calderon's www.caramel-cards.com for more info. on the set.
Robert
