Posted By: Chris
Are there cards of these guys out there? I know there are some exhibits and strip cards of Mays. Anything more mainstream? Anything at all on Chapman?

The cards are nice B/W photos. Although the books don't show much of a premium on his cards an auction will indicate differently.

Posted By: Rhys
This is a little off topic, but when I was in 6th grade my teacher informed our class that her maiden name was Chapman, and that her grandfather was the only major leaguer killed during a baseball game. I didn't think too much about it at the time, but I wished I had asked her if she had any of his autographs, they would be worth well into the thousands for a cut signature. In 15 years of collecting obscure player autographs I have never even heard of an authentic Chapman signature.

I decent condition Collins McCarthy or Sporting News will set you back $200 of Chapman. Mays has a ton of cards and your best bets for a cheap example which looks really nice are the 1921 and 1922 exhibit cards. I bought one on ebay last year for about $15

Rhys
