Sweet Caporal Unopened Pack on eBay

Posted By: Jon Canfield
Hello all. I don't want to sound like a broken record since I usually post on these but just in case there are any new members reading this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=44&item=5142480644 &rd=1 - This pack is listed as possibly containing a T-206. It DOES NOT have one - 100% sure. A beautiful pack and all, but only worth a couple $ hundred. I don't have any problems with the listing, but it does imply a chance - however there is no chance for a card.

Sweet Caporal Unopened Pack on eBay

Posted By: Richard Dwyer
The tip-off being the tax stamp. "Class A-10 Cigarettes". A "Dewitt-Clinton tax stamp would be a better bet. Notice how he doesn't show the factory number, state & district? For good reason, no doubt. Way overpriced for a box that never contained anything but the cigarettes.

Now this one is legit:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&?ViewItem&item=6132883406

I emailed the seller, and he gave me the following info:

Factory 42, 4th. District, N.C. Overprinting is Factory 42, 4th. District, June 12th. 1911

This one most likely did contain a T206 or T205.
