Posted By: leon
Just thought I would throw a vintage baseball card in here. Seems like there hasn't been much talk of cards lately. (understandably so). It's one I picked up from the CA find...aka trucker boy.....regards all

Posted By: barrysloate
Hey Leon- thanks for actually showing a vintage baseball card- I think the board is beginning to lose its train of thought. Never saw that one before- what a great stadium view- so keep them comin'.

Posted By: leon
I like this scarce series not only for the fronts but the backs too. They give a great, unique, bio of each player. I will post the back tonight when I get home....regards
ps....I might even post a totally new discovery from the set ....but then it could become "catalogued"
Posted By: leon
I can explain it in about one dirty word "money"..... uncatalogued cards tend to sell for more than catalogued ones as they are thought of as being more rare (and rightfully so)....as much as none of us will usually admit it there is a lot of our money tied up in them (at least mine). Back in about '98-'99 I took quite a bit of money out of the stock market and bought cards....as they are way more fun....now I am a card-o-holic and attend regular cardoholic meetings......

...my name is Leon......and ......I am ....

Posted By: Julie
Yes, the backs of Texas Tommys--only one kind, though--have great write-ups on them. Does anyone know who did them? (The other kind of Texas Tommy is blank.) Type II?

(JC has some).
