Posted By: Scott Forrest
The Cardinals still had to win two more from the Astros - probably will happen, but hasn't yet.

Same for the Yankees and Red Sox - try to enjoy some baseball PRIOR to the World Series. Think of it as a few 'bonus' games.

Posted By: Chris B.
I guess I didnt realize the statement "Go Cards" intimated that the NLCS was in the bag for St. Louis. As a long-time Cards fan, I realize that is far from the case.

Posted By: Julie Vognar
You discourage me. I had hoped to make mickey in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" a sort of avitar. But..you don't like him? I thought, after a while, I could just post mickey, with no comment, and everyone would know what I meant. I.E. The powerless dreaming he (she) has power to change things...

I'll try to be more sparing with my mickeys, though.

Posted By: Julie
The drawing is from an old Disney movie, "Fantasia," in which Mickey plays "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." His job is to carry two pails of water from the stram that runs though the bottom of the Sorcerer's cave to a huge vat the Sorcerer cooks God knows what in, over and over again--till the vat's full. One day, when the S. is out, M. find his magical hat, puts it on, and commands the broom to carry the two pails. He directs the broom for a while, and then falls asleet (PICTURE)--but the broom doesn't stop. You can just see the water lapping around the stairs where Mickey is sleeping. M wakes up, tries to cut the broom into splinters--but each splinter grows a new broom! Soon the whole place is swimming in water, and Mickey is about to get sucked down into a whirlpool, when the S comes back, sees what has happened, and rectifies the situation with a few sweeping arm gestures. Then he gives Mickey a REALLY dirty look, and literally kicks him out.

THE END
