Posted By: <b>Rhys</b><p>I try and watch my language but is the correct use of this saying in this context<br /><br />"paying UP the ...."<br /><br />or<br /><br />"paying OUT the ...."<br /><br />I have heard the first term used in context of someone screwing you, but thought you paid OUT of it when you were simply paying a bunch of money for something that was not forced on you.<br /><br />Example 1 "That mechanic is chargin so much money, I am going to have to take this one up the ____"<br /><br />Example 2 "My wife is making me pay out the ____ for the new china she ordered".<br /><br />Are these terms interchangable or am I just a profanity idiot?<br /><br />Please help me understand the R rated world in which I live, outside of my PG rated house with three children under the age of 5.
