Help: How To Post A Picture from a Novice
Posted By: <b>steve yawitz</b><p>Two ways: <br /><br />1) If you just want to upload an image from your hard drive, you can hit the "Insert Object" button at the bottom of the message post screen. From there, click "Temporary files" then "upload." Now you can find the image on your drive using "Browse." Once you've found your image you can hit "Upload" and then you should see your image name on the left side and a thumbnail on the right side. Your last step is "insert image," which will insert the formatting necessary for the image into your post. I think uploaded images expire after 7 days.<br /><br />2) If your image is already hosted somewhere on the web - www.imageshack.us is a decent free hosting service - you can just insert the URL for the image into your post (a right click, "Properties," copy, paste kinda thing) and it will appear in your post for as long as your image is still hosted by imageshack or whoever.<br /><br />
