1888 Scrapps Robert Caruthers SGC 40
Posted By: <b>jay wolt</b><p>For Sale:<br />1888 Scrapps tobacco in nice SGC die-cut gasket of<br />St. Louis Browns Champion "Parisian Bob" Caruthers<br />Was a star in his day, won 40 games twice (in '85 & '89)<br />Career mark of 218-99 in 9 years and was a prolific hitter when <br />not pitching. Played the outfield and hit .357 (in 364 AB's) in 1887.<br /><br />This piece presents better then the grade. It was downgraded <br />due to glue remnants on the reverse. There are no creases<br />just the natural indentation of the cap line that you can see<br />on the reverse.
