Posted By: Kevin O'Garafirst is 2 allstar bats from 1938 and 39, from a friends parents house where these were found when they moved in many years ago, they are in mint cond. Posted By: Mike HKevin, I can't see in the scan, but if it says "Trade Mark Reg" under the center oval it dates from 1943-1949. If it says "Reg. U.S. Pat Off." it is from 1950-1960. What does it say?

Great finds btw....the great thing about memorabilia as compared to cards is that most people are still clueless as to the value of old equipment, trophies, et cetera....but cards? That damn Honus Wagner T206 has made every Tom, Dick and Mary who runs across a 50+ year old card in their attic think they hit the lottery.

Posted By: RhysSmall stitch baseballs like that are usually dated to the mid 1880's to early 1890's. Still rare and a nice example and a rare ball.

Posted By: Kevin O'Garadan, yours dates from about 1901 to 1915s to20s because of the color stitches. my pics. dont show how tight the stitching is it is much tighter than a reg. baseball, and that it is 9" around. i know the stitches look the same as a regular baeball. Posted By: Mike HKevin, Since Babe Herman stopped playing much after 1936 (he had a total of 54 at bats between 1937 and 1945), this couldn't be sold as a Gamer for him. It's a pro-model bat from the 1950s. It could be a college or semi-pro bat but it is unlikely to have been used in the big leagues. It's a great bat, but not a Babe Herman gamer.
