HOF autographs

Posted By: David R
I just picked up a whole collection of these HOF autographed post cards and I think they're real but I don't really collect autographs. Here is a sampling. Anyone care to offer any opinions on authenticity? Are these worth getting graded/authenticated?

Thanks,

David

Posted By: Mark Steinberg
These sure look good to me. Whether or not to authenticate is your choice, and depends on what you plan to do with them.

If you just want to display them, I would not bother. If you want to sell them, a Spence or PSA authentication will carry lots of weight, and will help your price realized.

These are not super high-end pieces, however... the Paige (if authentic) is worth just a bit less than the other 5 PCs combined. Hope this helps.

Posted By: George Dreher
Jodi, that one will be tough to authenticate. Leaves out the dots after the first two initials, which would indicate the wife signed, but the beginning stroke of the "U" starts from the inside, rather than the outside, which is indicative of him. Slant gives us no clues and the "F" isn't connected to the "a" which also favors him signing.
PSA would automatically fail that one just based upon the percentages.

Posted By: Jodi Birkholm
I really feel that it's his wife, but the post above mine has actually made one valid point. Is there any way you could post a larger version of just the signature? There is something I would like to look at in finer detail.
