In 1922 Dever was a prominent Judge in Cook County and his election in 1923 ended years of Republican rule in Chicago politics.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1201881578.JPG">

It certainly preserved the item depicted above in pristine fashion! That truly is a gorgeous item--I can see why some of you would be attracted to such pieces.
