Looking for ID help with White Sox pin
Posted By: Rick McQuillan
Hello,
Can anyone ID this item? The person that I purchased it from thought that it was a 1927 ball park giveaway.

The ribbon says "White Sox Rooter".

Thanks,

Rick

Looking for ID help with White Sox pin
Posted By: Joseph
I should know this, since I think I MIGHT have one. I DO remember there was a small find of these 15 or so years ago and they turned up at the big shows fairly regularly, selling for 25 bucks or less and rising as the supply dwindled. I remember seeing a Cubs version but the Sox was the more common. I vaguely recall something about the 1906 WS, but don't quote my vague-ness...

We'll figure it out.

Posted By: davidcycleback
Years back I had a very similar Cubs one, with bat and silk flag. It had a big rusty needle attached to it. I don't recall the specific date, but it from the early 1900s. Many stadium items like these were available over several years, but if anything I would guess yours is older than 1927.
