1874/75 Bostons and ?

It is from the Deacon White Collection. I can identify the Boston players, but I cannot identify the second team in the picture. Based on the Culvert St address, I believe it may be either the White Stockings or Centennials of Philadelphia. The quality of my scan is poor. The actual image is much clearer. Any ideas?

Posted By: <b>barrysloate</b><p>Hi Gary- it's tough to do photo i.d. without a crystal clear image. Can you list some numbered players that you don't recognize? I think I see Deacon White front and center and George Wright to the right, but this is hard to work with.

Posted By: <b>Gary Passamonte</b><p>Barry, I believe the 9 Boston players are 1) Leonard, 5) White, 6) Barnes, 7) G Wright, 8) Spalding, 10) Schafer, 11 ) H Wright, 19) McVey, 20) O'rourke. I wish I could make the scan clearer, but like you, I am somewhat computer challenged.

Posted By: <b>Dan Bretta</b><p>I think Barry is right that #5 is Deacon White and #7 is George Wright...#1 looks like Andy Leonard....I think it might be impossible to tell who the other team is without solid identification of at least one of the guys with the white socks on.

Posted By: <b>barrysloate</b><p>I agree with Dan on #5 and #7, and #1 may be right but it's tough to tell. Is #17 in the top hat Harry Wright? It's so blurry I can barely make out a face.<br /><br />#4 also looks like it could be Harry. I think I see a beard.
