Great site for panoramic photos
Posted By: jay behrens
Anyone that loves those great panoramic shots of old ballparks and teams, you have to check this out. The number of photos in here is just incredible. Lots of shots from the Deadball Era and World Series from the first 10 ten years.

http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/panquery.html

Jay

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Posted By: Max
Interestingly, most of these photos are in the public domain and are not subject to copyright or the LOC puts the copyright issue in your hands. You are able to download massive TIF files which are suitable for high quality printing. Many of these photos are routinely sold on ebay without credit to the LOC, but the LOC apparently doesn't mind.

Max

Posted By: Joe P.
I'm trying to print some of the pan's.

I'm able to enlarge them to 100 % of the viewing page, but when I try to print it to my 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, I don't get the 100% full page print.

I know that I'm opening myself up to some well deserved incoming, but I can handle that.

Asides from the desire to go out the window with my printer, are there any words of wisdom out there that will give me the strength, drive and determination to press on?

I know that there must be a way.
Thanking you in advance.
Joe
Posted By: jay behrens
I'd be interested in learning how to print them out myself. I haven't tried to print one yet, but you look around in your printer settings and see what you can do. Lee and I just got a brand new photo quality printer, so if I can figure out how print these out, I plan on hanging a few on the wall.

Jay

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. Posted By: Kevin O
Great link Jay. The Library of Congress site is probably my favorite on the web. If you have a moment (i.e. if you're at work), check out the early Thomas Edison films. They're unbelievable. There's even one of some baseball action ("The Ball Game"), as well as longer clips of college football games, a hockey match, parades, a chain gang, an egg rolling contest, bicycle tricks, etc.
