Posted By: ErikV.
Here's a fun question for all:

If you could own any baseball card (besides the Wagner card, which I'm sure is atop of every card collectors list), what card would it be and why? I'll start. I'd like to own the 1915 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson card. Great player, great set and my favorite period in baseball history!

Posted By: Hal Lewis
Are we talking about a card that is known to EXIST ... or some "fantasy" card??

Because obviously I would like to own the T206 Honus Wagner card in PSA 10 condition ... but there is NO SUCH CARD. The same is true for the 1914 Baltimore News Babe Ruth card in PSA 10 condition.

I thought we were only talking about "known commodities" and not imaginary cards.

Then again ... maybe you DO know about a Shoeless Joe Jackson Boston Garter card in GEM MINT condition??

If so ... I would LOVE TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!

Posted By: Greg Ecklund
For one card that exists in perfect condition, I'd go with a Turkey Red Speaker or Lajoie. Which one would probably depend on what day it is - today I'd probably pick Speaker.

Runners up: Cracker Jack Joe Jackson, E90-1 Ed Walsh, E107 Christy Mathewson, T205 Addie Joss

Cards that Don't Exist: BF2 Tris Speaker, BF2 Babe Ruth, 1952 Topps Ted Williams, T3 Joe Jackson

Posted By: Greg Ecklund
Jackie Robinson was one of the glaring omissions from the set - I believe he was under contract exclusively with Topps. A Willie Mays or Satchel Paige from that set would be a gem as well.

'53 Bowman is one set that could have easily been expanded to twice the size with all the players that are missing.

Posted By: Scott Elkins
Shoeless Joe Jackson's ROOKIE! It was issued after Mack sent him down to the SL for some "seasoning" (issued in 1910). The E90-1 issued in 1909 is Jackson's TRUE ROOKIE, as it was the first Baseball Card issued of him (issued while he was with Mack's A's before being sent to the SL). The T210 is definitely more VALUABLE and RARER! Would love to have one myself! The GOOD NEWS out of this is that Shoeless Joe's "ROOKIE" is MUCH CHEAPER and MORE READILY AVAILABLE than if it was the T210 Old Mill!!!!!!!!

Posted By: Max
well, my one wish card is to find Ernie Kershaw's 1930's Vancouver senior amateur card. Ernie never made it past Class B for the Vancouver Capilanos in the Western International League, but here he's shown at the age of 94 with a 1939 team photo of the Capilanos. He's the only one left, and he could probably beat half the forum members at table tennis. He still lives in his own house, with his wife of many years (she's a young 90) and is an inspiration. He spoke at our local SABR meeting three years ago, and entertained us all. My friend has his card, shown here, so perhaps he or others will aid my quest (I guarantee not to slab it..)
