Uncataloged Worch Cigar cards

Posted By: dan mckee
Hey guys, I have a stack of uncataloged Worch Cigar players. I think they are mainly minor leaguers excepy Andy Cohen who I know is in the 1933 Goudey set. Any ideas? Value? I have a buyer but would like to know what I am selling. Any help is greatly appreciated. I can be written directly as well by clicking on my name. Thanks Dan.

Posted By: leon
I happened to get 3 of them that Frank had had. Not sure if I still have them but think so.. or at least maybe 2 of them left. At any rate the (lack of) interest factor in them unfortunately affects their value, imo. I think I paid around $30-$45 ea in nice condition. Of course their rarity level would make them more valuable in my mind, unfortuantely not others minds though..I remember when I thought the value of a Lorilard card was about 2k too ... Worch's are cool looking cards .. as always just my 1/2 cent worth......regards

Posted By: dan mckee
For some reason, I can't get Frank to write me back. I inquired about several cards plus have sent several personal emails, it is almost like he caught me with his wife! Anyway, thanks for the info, I was figuring around $50 each, I have an interested party, just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting smoked. Does anyone have a Ruth they can scan from this set? I would like to see the pose. thanks and thanks for the kudoson the PSA case Leon, see you in Cleveland, I am booth 258/260 Dan.

Uncataloged Worch Cigar cards

Posted By: dan mckee
Yes that is why I gave Cohen's name, it is the only 1 of the 30 that are cataloged. People pay more for uncataloged so it will be up to the buyer to make that decision. Unfortunately I pay a premium for uncataloged, then I have cards cataloged and they are deamed whatever prices you see fit and I wind up losing money. That is why the 1910 Washington Times and 1914 Baltimore News lists are not even close to complete and will stay that way. It is sad but at the rate I am going losing money, I can't take any chances, sorry. Dan.
