More on T213-2 Dunn
 

Posted By: <b>Tom L.</b><p>Andy,<BR><BR>Not sure if you noticed, but the Dunn in T213-2 is actually the picture of Joe Dunn from T206; he never played for the Baltimore Federal League team. I think this was just an error that the type-setters made, thinking that the card was actually Jack Dunn. (Though of course Jack Dunn was with the International League Orioles, not the Federal League Terrapins; every other Baltimore player in the T213-2 set is with the Federal League team - not the minor league Orioles.)<BR><BR>Kind of odd, since the T213-1 set has the same picture of Joe Dunn as T213-2, but lists him correctly with Brooklyn (as did T-206). <BR><BR>One of those uncorrected errors that noone seemed to notice (then or now).<BR><BR>Tom

Posted By: <b>OldOriole</b><p>Tom,<BR><BR> You are correct. This is an almost unnoticed error. As a close follower of vintage Baltimore cards, I can tell you there are a few others as well. It probably stems from the confusion of having two Dunns out there who played at the same time, albeit in different leagues. Excellent point though! Dave
