Posted By: Peter Thomas
I think that the two high bidders are working on sets. I am working on Boston players and just have to find cards that both of them have. On this card one down one to go.

T207 common

Posted By: Jimmy Scott Elkins
how tough is the Max Carey card? I haven't seen one on eBay since I have been back into vintage card collecting - around Oct. of last year. Also, after going through my old T207 checklist, the two T207's I never owned were Max Carey and Irving Lewis with emblem. I have picked these two up recently, since I never owned them, and thought they are probably more rare than the others in the set, since I had all of the other T207's (with correct backs - didn't get into the wrong back cards, as I considered them errors, instead of regular issued cards needed to complete a set). Thanks in advance for any answer. P.S. - I know the Lewis is extremely difficult, I'm just wondering about Max Carey.

Posted By: Tim Newcomb
The T207 Carey is not particularly difficult. Certainly in the more common half of the set.

Carrigan, on the other hand, is quite difficult despite being a "common"-- this may account for the price, although T207 prices in general have been going through the roof lately, at least for higher-grade cards.

Tim
