Posted By: <b>Julie</b><p>M.F. Walker was the only 19th century black man in the majors--and that includes his brother, who as far as I know never played for the AA Blue Stockings. But White seems to have beaten him to it, even though he only played one game.<BR><BR>Thanks! Still think Walker's brother didn't make it to the majors, though!

Posted By: <b>John(z28jd)</b><p>I dont know why you wouldnt consider the American Association a major league,a lot of great stars played in the league during its 8 year existance?<BR><BR>Wellday Walker did in fact play for Toledo,5 games,all as an outfielder and he hit .222<BR><BR>Moses beat him to the majors by 2 1/2 months
