Other sources besides ebay and online auctions
Posted By: jay behrens
If we told you that, we'd have to kill you Checking yardsales and auctions can be worthwhile. I picked up a nice collection of Goudey's while checking out a garage sale. The family had a bunch od 80s cards for sale and this elderly lady in 80s asked what they knew about about older basbeall cards. I quickly jumped in and told her what I knew and went over to her pplace to see her husband's cards. Lots of 33 and 34 Goudeys with a few 35s. Sadly, no Ruth or Gehrig cards. I showed her a price, explained grading to her and I walked away with a few hundred Goudey's.

Finding cards like this rare now days, but you can still find lots of valuable memorabilia like programs, yearbooks, pennants, etc that people don't think of as being valuable.

Jay
