PRO question
Posted By: anothercollector
Does anyone know if there is a company that trims cards that are sent to PRO or is it just by the collector's themselves. I've heard of collectors using lasers, cutting machines, micro trimmers, etc. I was wondering if anyone knows the real story?

Posted By: TBob
I don't think PRO alters cards which are sent to them, I believe the cards have already been altered prior to their submission. Some collectors are being quite adept at the use of laser technology to trim cards and certainly don't need any help from grading companies.

Posted By: (www.bestbaseballcards.com)
I know I would NEVER buy a "PRO" graded card again. I bought a TY COBB card that was graded 6.5, and I sent it to PSA in it's casing, and it came back as ungradeable due to trimming. I think PRO should be "CLOSED DOWN"! I don't trust any grading companies but BGS, SGC, PSA....which brings up another question....GAI....I will make it a seperate posting.

Posted By: anothercollector
I once bought what appeared to be a centered 1958 topps card but when I sent it to be graded, I found out that someone used a laser to burn part of the border off to make the card appear 50-50. Now I KNOW collectors aren't smart enough to use laser themselves........all I have to say is that there are a lot of unanswered questions......
