Someone asked about PRO?
Posted By: runscott
I think the following card says it all. Please, t205 collectors - try to hold back your tears! It really is a travesty what someone did to this card:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2753716606&indexURL=0& photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting

Someone asked about PRO?
Posted By: MW
At one time, it was perhaps an excellent condition card worth 40 to 60% of guide. Now, with its perfect edges and diminutive size, it's more like 10 to 15%. What's the point of doing this to a card?

Still, I suppose to some vintage collectors, a card like this is preferable to one with multiple creases or surface damage. It is kind of sad, however, to see the sheer quantity of attractive, mid-grade Hall of Fame cards that are encountering this type of pedantic butchery.

Posted By: Hankron
My problem with trimming cards is that there's nothing wrong with a grade Very Good or Ex card in the first place, and there's no need (other than greed) to 'fix' a lower grade card.
