According to Mastronet, there are about 6 examples of this same card that as DOYLE, N. Y. Nat'l at the bottom (see their current auction <a href="http://www.mastronet.com/index.cfm?action=DisplayContent&ContentName=Lot%20 Information&LotIndex=32386&CurrentRow=1" target=_new>http://www.mastronet.com/index.cfm?action=DisplayContent&ContentName=Lot%20 Information&LotIndex=32386&CurrentRow=1</a>).<BR><BR>If this is actually Doyle from the N.Y. Nat'l team, then shouldn't it be Larry since Joe played for the N.Y. Amer.? Or is that why the "Nat'l" part is missing?<BR><BR>Any thoughts?<BR><BR>James Walker, Jr.

Posted By: <b>Brian Weisner</b><p><BR> Hi James<BR> Most experts believe that the Nat'l was added to " Joe Doyle" by mistake early in the printing process.<BR> Similiar to the Magie error, the mistake seems to have been corrected while many other misspelling errors went unaddressed. There are probably a few more variations from this set that haven't been found discovered yet, and I hope I'm the one that finds them. Be well Brian
